Bangkok vibrated with the rhythm of functional fitness on March 20, 2026, hosting an absolutely colossal HYROX event! The Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) transformed into a bustling arena, bringing together an incredible 10,068 participants in a single day. A record crowd, palpable energy, and athletes from all corners of the globe came to test themselves against the HYROX beast. Get ready, because this edition was packed with twists and turns, personal bests, and memorable performances. Hold on tight, we'll tell you all about it!
Open Men — The Sub-Hour Battle
The Open Men's category delivered a high-flying spectacle, with incredible intensity and athletes giving their all to cross the finish line. The podium was fiercely contested, and we witnessed a deluge of personal records. Breaking the 1-hour barrier was a real obsession for many competitors!

South Korea's Seunghyun Noh absolutely set the course on fire! With an astonishing time of 00:57:13, he not only secured first place but also smashed his personal best by over 30 seconds compared to his previous 00:57:47 in Shanghai. A truly outstanding performance.
Right behind him, Australia's Joshua White pushed hard to secure an impressive second place in 00:58:56. This is also a new PB for him, improving his Auckland time (01:02:11) by over 3 minutes! What remarkable progress!
Great Britain's Samuel Gough completed this dream podium in 00:59:57, breaking the symbolic one-hour barrier. He too set a new personal best, improving his 01:04:10 from Osaka. His consistency and determination were praised by all.
The fight for 4th place was epic, with Kin Ho (Hong Kong) and Julien Prieur (France) finishing in a dead heat at 01:00:04! Kin Ho improved his PB by over 7 minutes (01:07:59 in Singapore), while Julien Prieur, a regular in Asian races, shaved off his 01:04:07 from Beijing. They missed the podium by a whisker, but their performances were simply monumental.
The Aussies were out in force with Josh Allum in 6th place (01:00:19, a new PB by 4 minutes), and Nick Collin impressing in his VERY FIRST HYROX RACE with 01:00:52! What an incredible debut!
Another French athlete, Corentin Faque, took 7th place with a new PB of 01:00:36, while local hero Kajohnsin Wongma, a VETERAN of 8 HYROX races, maintained his spot in the top 10. Finally, Uku Kruusamaee (Estonia) rounded out the top 10 with a new PB of almost 4 minutes. Congratulations to all these athletes!
Open Women — Remarkable First Races
In the Open Women's category, the number of finishers was more modest (5 in total), but the intensity was no less present. One athlete dominated the competition, while several rookies took their first steps on the HYROX stage.

Amornchat Lee and Waritnan Sriwichain, both Thai, completed their FIRST HYROX RACES, finishing in 01:32:32 and 01:41:32 respectively. Brunei was represented by Khairin Zikry Hj Jahari (01:43:49) who also made a courageous first appearance. Finally, Laurent Jary (France) also completed his first HYROX in 02:29:49. Doubles — Team Spirit at Its Peak
Doubles events are always a highlight of HYROX, where team cohesion is key. Bangkok was no exception, with duos pushing their limits together.

A race where most teams were making their debuts, but with impressive intensity right from the start.

Behind them, the battle for the top spots was tight. The duo Colum John / Will Statham took 2nd place in 01:13:17, closely followed by Casey Westergaard / Shane Wilson in 01:13:33. Only 16 seconds separated them! French teams Emmanuel de Vathaire / Jean Grollet and Axel Martin / Loris Campan completed the top 5, all these teams making their first appearance in a HYROX race.

The Doubles Women category saw breathtaking performances, particularly from a duo making a strong debut!
