The MECC Maastricht pulsed with the rhythm of endurance and strength on September 17, 2026, as it hosted HYROX Maastricht. With 8631 participants from around the world, this edition promised a true functional fitness marathon over a single day. The atmosphere was electric, the halls echoing with cheers, and every transition between running and workout stations was a display of unwavering commitment. From the first PUSH to the last WALL BALL, athletes gave their all to challenge their limits and etch their names into HYROX history. Open Men: Top 10

The Open Men's category witnessed exceptional performances, featuring a fascinating mix of new talents and seasoned veterans. The tension was palpable from the first runs, and each athlete fought fiercely to make their way to the podium.

  1. Test-六글ﺽ漢И Imony-Éïâøȼÿð : 00:30:48 🇵🇫
    What an explosive debut! For his first HYROX participation, Test-六글ﺽ漢И Imony-Éïâøȼÿð astonished everyone by setting an absolutely stratospheric time. This performance, nearly twice as fast as the Pro average, could very well be a world record or a test entry, but in any case, it leaves a lasting impression. A name to follow, if not already!
  2. Callum Overton : 00:59:01 🇬🇧
    A regular on the podiums, Callum, with 6 HYROX races under his belt, once again demonstrated his consistency. Although this time isn't his personal best (he previously clocked 00:55:50 at London Excel), it remains a solid performance, securing him second place in Maastricht. A machine of reliability.
  3. Tom Leenart : 00:59:11 🇳🇱
    Dutchman Tom Leenart truly energized the local crowd! He set a brilliant new personal record in Maastricht, improving his previous time of 01:00:25 from Mechelen. This steady progression, placing him under the hour mark for the first time, is the result of hard work and unwavering determination. Congratulations!

    Just 4 seconds off the podium, Lars Rademaker, a respected veteran with 11 races, proved he's still in the game. His performance in Maastricht, only a few seconds off his Barcelona PB (00:59:36), highlights his ability to stay at the top level race after race. Consistency personified.

    Suhayb, with 9 HYROX races, narrowly missed the symbolic sub-hour mark. His performance is all the more notable as he previously achieved 00:59:24 at London Olympia. He confirms his status as a solid and formidable athlete in the Open category.

The women in the Open category also delivered epic battles, pushing their limits with incredible strength and determination. Personal records were broken, and the level of competition continues to rise.

  1. Mareva Origer : 00:58:22 🇱🇺
    Undoubtedly the most impressive performance among the women! Mareva Origer, from Luxembourg, achieved a feat by smashing her personal record by over 35 minutes (previous: 01:34:15 in Gent). Going sub-hour in the Open Women category is a rare accomplishment and testifies to extraordinary preparation and progress. Hat's off!
  2. Noortje Corstjens : 01:03:45 🇳🇱
    Dutch athlete Noortje Corstjens secured a magnificent second place and a new personal record! She improved her time of 01:05:13, previously set in Rotterdam. An athlete who consistently progresses and confirms her place among the elite of the Open category.
  3. Dianne Weijmans : 01:06:13 🇳🇱
    A new personal record for Dianne Weijmans! She shaved off valuable minutes, improving her time of 01:09:17 from Paris. A solid performance that propels her to the third step of the podium, a great achievement for this constantly improving athlete.
  4. Nienke Van Dijk : 01:06:17 🇳🇱
    Just 4 seconds off the podium, Nienke Van Dijk also achieved a new personal record! She beat her time of 01:07:01 from Heerenveen. A tight race that highlights the high level of this category. Nienke is a consistent force in Open Women.
  5. Maud Visser : 01:07:42 🇳🇱
    Maud Visser delivered an excellent new personal record! She improved her time of 01:10:36 from Heerenveen. Every race brings new progress for Maud, who is moving closer to the top.
  6. Sophie Engel : 01:08:01 🇳🇱
    An impressive improvement for Sophie Engel, who cut her time by over 7 minutes compared to her previous record of 01:15:42, set right here in Maastricht 2! An athlete who clearly targeted this race to surpass herself.
  7. Jip Simonis : 01:08:18 🇳🇱
    For her very first foray into the world of HYROX, Jip Simonis delivered a more than respectable performance, placing directly in the top 10. A sensational start for this new competitor who promises to make a name for herself.
  8. Amber Brouwer : 01:08:38 🇳🇱
    Amber Brouwer improved her personal record of 01:10:34 from Amsterdam, demonstrating her ability to progress. A determined athlete whose consistency is being rewarded. We will also see her in the Doubles section!
  9. Nynke Vis : 01:08:56 🇳🇱
    Another rookie making waves! Nynke Vis, in her first HYROX race, secured a very strong 9th place. A remarkable performance for a newcomer, indicating great potential.
  10. Nolwenn Lenglet : 01:09:36 🇫🇷
    Our French athlete Nolwenn Lenglet, a veteran with 6 races under her belt, secured a spot in the top 10. Although she didn't quite reach her PB of 01:09:21 from Toulouse, she once again demonstrated her perseverance and ability to compete with the best.

Pro Men: Top 5

The Pro Men category in Maastricht was a true concentration of HYROX's global elite. Each athlete pushes the limits of endurance and power, and the differences are measured in seconds, sometimes even hundredths.

  1. Graham Halliday : 00:55:33 🇬🇧
    British athlete Graham Halliday, with his 11 HYROX races, needs no introduction. He dominated in Maastricht with an excellent time, very close to his Athens PB (00:55:12). His consistency at the highest level is an inspiration to all.
  2. Julien Coquillaud-Salomon : 00:56:05 🇫🇷
    Our proud French representative, Julien Coquillaud-Salomon, once again demonstrated his place among the elite. A veteran of 10 races, he secured a well-deserved second place, just behind Graham, with a time that attests to his peak form, even if slightly above his Mechelen PB (00:54:13).
  3. Ronan Lindsay : 00:56:12 🇮🇪

    Alen Ploj, the Slovenian with 11 HYROX races, took fourth place. He set a new personal best (his previous best being 00:58:11 in Tenerife), showcasing impressive consistency and improvement.
  5. Erik Oscar Bøe : 00:57:06 🇳🇴
    Norwegian Erik Oscar Bøe rounded out this top 5 with a very solid time, just 2 seconds behind Alen Ploj. A veteran of major races with 10 participations, he confirmed his place among the elite, just above the hour mark.

Pro Women: Top 5

The Pro Women of HYROX Maastricht once again demonstrated their power and technical skill. The competition was fierce, and each athlete pushed her limits to secure a top spot.

  1. Stefanie Oswald : 00:59:04 🇩🇪
    German athlete Stefanie Oswald, with 11 HYROX races, triumphed with brilliance. She delivered a performance just seconds off her personal best (00:58:10 in Athens and 00:58:41 in Warsaw), proving her dominance and ability to perform on big occasions.
  2. Lauren Armstrong : 01:00:37 🇬🇧
    Lauren Armstrong, the Brit, delivered a fantastic performance and set a new personal record! She improved her previous time of 01:01:43 from the Stockholm World Championships. A remarkable progression that propelled her to second place.
  3. Linda Meier : 01:00:37 🇩🇪
    Tying with Lauren Armstrong, German athlete Linda Meier also secured second place! A veteran of 11 races, she demonstrated her perseverance and strength. Her time is very close to her Lisbon record (00:59:29), proving her consistency at the highest level.
  4. Kat Parnell : 01:02:56 🇬🇧
    Kat Parnell, an experienced HYROX figure with 10 races, placed fourth. Although she had previously achieved an impressive 00:58:51 in Warsaw, her performance in Maastricht remained solid and kept her among the elite.
  5. Hedvig Nøtsund Carlsen : 01:03:56 🇳🇴

    This dynamic duo secured a new personal record and first place! They literally flew through the course, improving their time of 00:52:44 from Frankfurt. An incredible team performance that highlights the effectiveness of their collaboration.
  2. Jordy Snel / Shaun Demicoli : 00:52:17
    For their very first HYROX race as a duo, Jordy Snel (whom we saw in Open Men) and Shaun Demicoli set a fantastic time and secured second place. A thunderous debut for this new team.
  3. Grimont Pierre / Grimont Nicolas : 00:54:13
    The Grimont duo, Pierre and Nicolas, made a remarkable entry into the HYROX world. For their first participation, they secured a very strong third place, demonstrating impressive complementarity.
  4. Mathieu Meeûs / Michael Mabille : 00:54:42
    Another duo making a successful debut! Mathieu Meeûs and Michael Mabille show great promise for their future competitions with this solid fourth place.
  5. Anthony Mahe / Taylor Gouin : 00:54:51

    Luke Greer and Jake Williamson took the lead in the Pro Doubles Men category. Although they didn't beat their Istanbul record (00:48:46), their performance remained dominant, confirming their status as the team to beat.
  2. Emile Mattheeuws / Louis Osselaer : 00:50:16
    For their very first participation in Pro Doubles, Emile Mattheeuws and Louis Osselaer achieved an exceptional time and secured a magnificent second place. A very promising duo!
  3. Jamie Hennessy / Danny Rae : 00:51:04
    Jamie Hennessy and Danny Rae set a new personal record! They improved their time of 00:52:59 from Tenerife, proving their continuous progression and determination to reach the top.
