Monterrey pulsed with HYROX energy as 5606 athletes battled it out over a single intense day. Personal bests were shattered, impressive rookies emerged, and seasoned veterans showcased their prowess in this unforgettable edition.

HYROX Monterrey 2026: A Mexican Wave of Records and Rookies!

What energy, what a spectacle! On April 18, 2026, the Av Fundidora venue in Monterrey, Mexico, became the arena for a true HYROX whirlwind. With an impressive 5606 participants battling it out over a single day, the fervor and intensity were palpable from the very first stride. Athletes from across the country (and beyond!) tackled the 8 km of running and 8 functional workout stations, creating an electrifying atmosphere.

This 2026 edition of HYROX Monterrey was marked by exceptional performances, numerous personal bests, and the emergence of a new generation of talent. Let's take a look at the rankings and the athletes who made the Mexican scene vibrate!

Open Men — The Race for Records

The Open Men's category delivered a clash of titans and a veritable downpour of personal records. The competition was incredibly high, with the podium decided by mere seconds.

The suspense for the title was absolute! Ismael Pedroza 🇲🇽 took the win with a time of 01:03:20, smashing his personal best by almost 4 minutes compared to his previous time in Guadalajara. A masterful performance and impeccable race management.

Just behind him, only 9 seconds later, the 4-race veteran Alan Benabib 🇲🇽 once again proved his consistency and speed with an excellent 01:03:29. He was very close to his Guadalajara PB, showing top form.

The third step of the podium was occupied by Alejandro Rodriguez 🇲🇽 in 01:04:31. He also set a new personal record, improving his previous time by over a minute, after races in Toulouse, Cancun, and London that built his experience.

The top 5 was completed by Ivan Alejandro Valdez 🇲🇽 (01:04:43), who also secured a PB compared to Acapulco, and by the impressive Irving Garcia 🇲🇽 (01:04:57), who, in his very first HYROX event, claimed a rare 5th place! A stunning debut in the discipline.

Also noteworthy are the performances of Lucho de la Vega 🇲🇽 and Héctor Quezada 🇲🇽, who finished tied at 01:05:11, both in their first race! Xavier Castañeda 🇲🇽 improved his PB by over 13 minutes to 01:05:31, while Alvaro Cuanalo 🇲🇽 also set a new record at 01:06:13.

Open Women — The Next Generation is Here!

The Open Women's category was a true showcase for newcomers, demonstrating impressive determination and strength. The podium was dominated by athletes who made an impact from their very first appearance.

This was a phenomenal performance by Ana Cristina Manríquez Martínez 🇲🇽 who, in her first HYROX participation, clinched first place with an impressive time of 01:06:53. A grand entrance that certainly leaves a lasting impression and heralds a promising career!

She was followed by another rookie, Almudena Mendoza 🇲🇽, who delivered an excellent 01:09:43 in her first HYROX race, solidifying the strength of newcomers on the circuit.

Third place went to Ana Martinez 🇲🇽, who recorded a time of 01:11:10, spectacularly improving her personal record by over 45 minutes compared to Miami! A dazzling progression.

The top 5 was completed by Maria Jose Mata Cocco 🇲🇽 (01:12:00), a rookie who narrowly missed the podium, and Daneyra Lopez 🇲🇽 (01:12:01), who also significantly improved her PB from Ciudad de Mexico. A special mention for Gilda Juarez 🇲🇽, just 3 seconds behind Daneyra, who demonstrated her consistency with a time very close to her Acapulco performance.

Pro Men — The Elite in Action

The Pro Men's category, with heavier weights and higher stakes, once again demonstrated the level of excellence required to shine on the HYROX circuit. Veterans held their ground, but the new guard certainly made its presence felt.

  2. Mario Habib Fierro elias — 01:00:42 🇲🇽
  3. Aldo Lozano Márquez — 01:01:16 🇲🇽
  4. Alan Carrillo — 01:01:19 🇲🇽

The experienced Pelayo Menendez Fernandez 🇪🇸 took the win with a solid performance of 00:57:04. With 11 HYROX races to his name, including World Championship participations, the Spaniard masterfully managed his race to climb to the top of the podium.

The surprise came from Mario Habib Fierro elias 🇲🇽, who, in his very first HYROX race, secured an incredible second place in 01:00:42. A smashing debut in the Pro category, proving immense potential!

Aldo Lozano Márquez 🇲🇽, another respected veteran with 8 HYROX races, claimed the third spot on the podium in 01:01:16, once again demonstrating his consistency at the highest level. Just 3 seconds behind him, Alan Carrillo 🇲🇽 (01:01:19), in his first Pro participation, achieved a remarkable fourth place.

Finally, our French athlete Johan Morin 🇫🇷, a regular at Mexican races, set a new personal record in 01:03:21, improving his Cancun and Guadalajara times by over 3 minutes. A great performance far from home!

Pro Women — Rookies Making Their Mark

The Pro Women's category was a festival of first-time racers, with athletes who didn't hesitate to immediately tackle the heavier weights and intensity of the Pro division.

This was a brilliant performance by KAREN VANESSA LARA CASTRO 🇲🇽 who, in her first foray into the world of HYROX, claimed first place in Pro Women with an excellent time of 01:07:45. An undeniable victory that made a strong impression!

The podium was completed by two other rookies: alondra gonzalez meza 🇲🇽 in 01:10:29 and Dinorah Garza treviño 🇲🇽 in 01:10:46. These three athletes prove that the new Mexican generation is ready to compete.

In fourth place, we find Victor Manuel Valle Alaniz 🇲🇽, a veteran of 7 HYROX races, who showed his resilience by finishing in 01:11:14. His extensive experience keeps him among the best performers.

Finally, ANDREA DOMINGUEZ LASSARD 🇲🇽, also in her first HYROX race, rounded out the top 5 with a time of 01:12:36. Promising debuts for all these athletes!

Doubles — The Power of Teamwork

The Doubles categories highlighted the power of collaboration, with race strategies and fluid transitions making all the difference. We witnessed high-flying performances across all divisions.

In Doubles Men, the duo Angel Quintero Aldo Lozano Marquez 🇲🇽 crushed the competition with an impressive time of 00:52:26, in their very first race! A perfect synergy that earned them the victory. The French duo Johan Morin David Mathieu Michel Morin 🇫🇷 also showcased the strength of family and athletic bonds by placing fourth with a strong 00:55:20.

In Doubles Women, Laura Saldaña María Urias 🇲🇽 took the win in 01:01:38, narrowly edging out the duo Mariann Gonzalez Treviño Dinorah Garza Treviño 🇲🇽 (01:01:46). A very tight competition, proving that every second counts in HYROX's dynamic relays.

We commend the performances of Pedro Trejo Paula Del Valle 🇲🇽 and Alejandro Garcia Katelyn Rodriguez 🇲🇽, both of whom shattered their personal records from Guadalajara, a testament to their diligent training.

A strong and well-deserved performance. The rest of the top 5 was also made up of rookie duos, once again demonstrating the richness of Mexican talent.

PRO DOUBLES Mixed — Top 1

  1. arturo zenil Jose Luis Avila — 01:14:52 🇲🇽

In the PRO DOUBLES Mixed category, the duo arturo zenil Jose Luis Avila 🇲🇽 dominated the competition in their first race, securing victory in 01:14:52. A solid performance that paves the way for future competitions.
