HYROX Rome 2026: The Roman Arena Vibrated with Action

The Eternal City proved that it is also a capital of effort and determination! From September 23 to 27, 2026, HYROX Rome transformed Via Portuense into a true modern coliseum, hosting a tide of over 11,000 participants from all corners of the globe. The atmosphere was electric, the crowd in a frenzy, and every burpee, every meter of sled push resonated like an echo of ancient grandeur. As athletes embarked on this unique functional fitness challenge, the stakes were clear: push personal limits, beat personal records, and perhaps engrave one's name in the HYROX annals. Open Men: A Fierce Battle for the Podium

The Open Men category was the scene of an intense battle, where speed and endurance were put to the test. The spectacle was complete, with performances that electrified the Roman arena from the very first moments.

What an impressive debut for NIKOLAY Georgiev 🇧🇬 who, in his very FIRST HYROX RACE, claimed victory with a scorching time of 00:55:59! A masterstroke from his first appearance, a performance many veterans would envy, promising a brilliant career in HYROX. Behind him, the battle for the other podium spots was intense.

British athlete Liam Shallicker 🇬🇧 secured second place in 00:56:54, smashing his personal best by almost a minute compared to his performance in Barcelona! A rapid progression that testifies to his hard work. His compatriot Niall Coleridge 🇬🇧 took the third step of the podium with 00:58:21, also lowering his PB by over a minute, a significant improvement since Cardiff. Both British athletes demonstrated consistency and an ability to elevate their game.

Just off the podium, the density of athletes was remarkable. Milan Konopásek 🇨🇿 ranked 4th in 00:58:37, also with a NEW PERSONAL BEST, shattering his previous time from Berlin. Just seconds away, Victor Kavassaki Pimentel 🇧🇷 (00:58:42) and Maxime PERRETTE 🇫🇷 (00:58:45) showed Olympic form. Maxime PERRETTE, in his FIRST HYROX RACE, impressed by climbing among the elite right from his baptism of fire. Right behind, Italian Claudio marco Mazzola 🇮🇹, also a first-timer, thrilled the local crowd with an excellent 00:58:48.

Finally, veteran Michael Mabille 🇧🇪, with 5 HYROX races under his belt, demonstrated his consistency and experience by finishing 8th in 00:58:58. A solid performance that proves experience is an undeniable asset in the HYROX universe. David Steffes 🇱🇺 and Frank Rafferty 🇮🇪 completed this highly international top 10, both achieving NEW PERSONAL BESTS. The bar is set high for upcoming HYROX events!

Open Women: Grace and Power on Display

The Open Women category proved, once again, that female determination knows no bounds. The athletes demonstrated exceptional mental and physical strength, delivering a captivating spectacle from start to finish.

She shattered her NEW PERSONAL BEST by almost 6 minutes compared to her Berlin performance, demonstrating phenomenal progress and peak preparation for HYROX Rome. This performance is simply stratospheric.

The United Kingdom also shone with Sarah Moore 🇬🇧 taking second place, achieving a NEW PERSONAL BEST in 01:04:41, an improvement of over 4 minutes since Miami. An athlete to watch very closely. The third step of the podium was occupied by Italian Carlotta Federica Montanera 🇮🇹 (01:04:44), who, in front of her home crowd, found the resources to achieve a NEW PERSONAL BEST, surpassing her time from the Stockholm World Championships. She finished only 3 small seconds behind Sarah Moore, proving the intensity of this final.

Esme Nickson 🇬🇧, a seasoned VETERAN with 7 HYROX races under her belt, demonstrated all her experience by placing 4th in 01:05:16. Her consistency and mastery of the events are exemplary. Another Italian, Francesca Toschi 🇮🇹, also shone by improving her NEW PERSONAL BEST to 01:05:23 for 5th place, delivering a magnificent home performance.

Further down in the top 10, we find Nika Blažka Gorjanc 🇸🇮 (01:05:49), and a close duel between Stephanie Soteriou 🇨🇾 and Meg Rapley 🇬🇧, both finishing in 01:05:58. Meg Rapley achieved a spectacular NEW PERSONAL BEST, reducing her time by almost 8 minutes since London Olympia. Finally, Chloe Parsons 🇦🇺, in her FIRST HYROX RACE, clinched an impressive 9th place in 01:06:24, showing the extent of her potential. The top 10 is completed by Eva Adravetz-Kadocsa 🇭🇺 who set a brilliant NEW PERSONAL BEST of 01:07:38.

Italian Eugenio Bianchi 🇮🇹, another emblematic veteran, honored his home crowd by placing 4th in 00:56:40. Just 3 seconds behind him, British athlete Harry Thompson 🇬🇧 (00:56:43) closed out this ultra-competitive top 5. In front of her home crowd, she found the reserves to deliver a memorable performance. Third place went to German Linda Meier 🇩🇪 (01:01:19), a VETERAN with 11 HYROX races, who once again stepped onto the podium, proving her longevity and power.

France placed two athletes in this top 5: Anne BONNIN 🇫🇷 who, in her FIRST HYROX Pro race, made a stunning debut in 4th place with 01:02:13. A talent to watch very closely! And Apolline Cardon 🇫🇷, a VETERAN with 4 races, who placed 5th in 01:03:34, once again showing the strength of the French delegation.
